WHY CAN I NOT FULLY TRUST MY CONNECTION?
As a psychic, past-life regressionist and emotional healer this is one of the most common questions I have encountered so far this millennium. I don’t mean broadband interconnectivity, mobile reception, social networking or the efficiency of your USB dongle!
I mean no messing, straight up implicit trust in your connection to the ‘source.’ It is important to remember at this point that we are all fully connected to source, all of the time. However, it is one of our lessons in this lifetime to learn to trust and value our connection again. There are five main limitations that our souls have created that hinder our connection. Read on and re-connect.
There are many words, feelings and terms that we use. There is no right or wrong way to address ‘source’ but it is important to find a term that holds positive energy for you. We need to recognise, however, whether the term that we use has a negative or disempowering resonance within our subconscious.
For myself, when I clear my energies on a daily basis and check in with ‘upstairs’ ready to tune into people, I ask ‘Father-God, Great Spirit, Infinite Light and Loving Source.’ I picture infinite light and loving source flowing through me and vibrating within every cell of my being. Being connected to ‘source’ means that we are not only connecting externally, but also within ourselves. The source within, if you will... This is another of the key lessons of our generation – self worth and implicit trust in our connection to the source. A trust that is impossible to do fully if to the very core of your being you don’t recognise your own infinite light.
Some people struggle with the words Spirit, God, Light, Creator... due to negative patterning from past life experiences or indeed from this life. If someone has experienced a strict religious life that has ended in punishment (a devoted monk who has dedicated his life to God and ends up being killed for his belief) his soul thinks God has abandoned him. Similarly, somebody who struggles with their creativity or has a parent who does not value their creative gift, will reject a connection to the term ‘Creator’. 
I can comfortably use the words God and Great Spirit, because I have cleared past lives and destructive cellular memory of the attachments to these words... a key lesson we all have to go through especially psychics and healers. A Television Medium came to me last week for a reading and clearing. This guy had a lovely connection but there was a really powerful past life blocking his trust in it.
I tuned into a life where he was a seer in 1600’s Britain. In that life the villagers came to him for help and advice. In that life he had a strong connection to source and used to manipulate what he told the villagers for his own gain. In essence, abusing his power under the guise of higher knowledge. Ultimately his wife found out and betrayed him to the villagers and he was ostracised and died in lonely isolation. His soul recognised the abuse of power and retained a feeling of guilt and a fear of people trusting what he says, in order to punish himself. In this life the guy, has always searched and worked spiritually but has limited his ability to channel from source. He, therefore, passes on messages from dead relatives but will not channel empowering information for the individual. He is fearful of taking advantage in any way. He is unable to accept compliments, receive presents as he no longer values himself and associates people trusting in him with punishment and isolation. I recognised that his wife is also his wife in this life. He smiled and said for his whole marriage he has always had an unnatural fear of his wife betraying him.
As with the above example of a Past Life Abandonment by God all of us will have experienced a life where we trusted source and we or others suffered as a result. Monk and Nun lives, Religious Missionary lives, Witch lives, Healer lives. In this life the subconscious thinks ‘If I trust source, others will suffer or I will suffer.’ We recognise that we can still be very spiritual in this life but invariably try everything outside of ourselves to reconnect to source such as Crystals , Feng Shui, Reiki or associate information from spirit with ‘messengers’ outside of ourselves such as the use of Tarot, Astrology and working with angels. Ultimately we still need to own, trust and value connection from within on a cellular level. Trusting the infinite light from within.
Having cleared the past life we also need to clear the resulting programmes that we are running in this life. This may include any negative experiences or thoughts around source. For example, a negative experience with a priest, blaming God when someone close to you dies or simply feeling a victim and unfairly treated by life. Why would we, therefore, trust source? It is important to recognise as a soul in this life, that we choose all our experiences in order to love and approve of ourselves and implicitly trust our connection.
Because of the deep seated less
on we have of valuing our self and recognising our source within, we very often misdirect our ownership of that connection to outside influences. Namely Egregores and Group Thought Forms. An Egregore is a constructed thought form; an actual energy that lives on the astral plane and if we join it we link into and give our power away to it. Any form of religion is an excellent example. Over the centuries ceremony and structure of a belief has created a controlling, limiting energy. If you buy into the specific religion, you are also buying into a controlled and limited energy. You are potentially disempowering your own connection as true connection is a direct communication between you, your infinite light, and the source. This is limitless and all empowering. Any rigid group that believes theirs “is the way” can restrict our self worth and trust in our connection and own infinite light. Scientology, a healing system like Theta, a fanatical martial art, purely relying on the tarot cards etc are all examples. Next month I will go into much more exciting depth about egregores.
Affirmations are one of the most powerful tools you can use to repattern your subconscious from your deep seated life blocks (once you have cleared them). Affirmations should be completed for a full cycle – 33 days in a row. It is important to also recognise the exact moments during a day when you doubt yourself or your connection or you give your power away to something external; a group, a book, a website, a crystal, a so-called guru. This is when you will start to accept your connection and your infinite light within. It is one of the reasons many people turn to healing, either for themselves or others but fail to recognise that they are still blocked within. A very powerful affirmation, once blocks have been cleared is ‘I now trust and accept my perfectly balanced connection to source. I am now free to be me.’ Substitute whatever word for source feels most comfortable and real for you. Ideally, you should aim for affirming “I AM SOURCE”.
