Jules is a Television Executive with over 12 years experience in presenting, writing, production, and directing in the UK and US. Now working in the Greater Los Angeles area, he has worked on all aspects of a media lifecycle – from original creative concept, writing treatments and idea development to delivery of final productions for television and original online content.
Known for his high standards of excellence and strong intuition, Jules excels at drawing out and developing personal stories.
Known for his prompt delivery of high quality programs, Jules is adept at managing large teams, production crews, celebrity and non-celebrity interviews. He has directed amongst others: Sir Anthony Hopkins, Leslie Phillips, Lord Sebastian Coe, Lord Melvyn Bragg, Sir Alan Parker, Robin Gibb, Joanna Lumley, John Hurt, Anna Friel, Sir Derek Jacobi, Twiggy and David Bailey.
Directed and Produced three series (35 episodes) of the Sky Arts showcase acquisition ‘Living the Life’ . He wrote the initial treatment, directed, creatively edited and delivered each episode in its final form.
|Wrote, directed, creatively edited and executively produced “Hello: A Portrait of Leslie Phillips.” This was a seventy-five minute documentary where Jules managed celebrity piece to cameras and Leslie’s emotional reliving of his life, selected appropriate archive and made innovative use of twitter to create ‘a day in the life of.’|
